We give back

USAP aims to measurably enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve. We do this clinically and through our commitment to corporate social responsibility by giving back to the communities where we operate, making them better places to live and work.

USAP combines our employee volunteerism and strategically aligned company resources to address essential community needs in partnership with our healthcare partners, lending support to the many worthy endeavors that are designed to improve the health, welfare and well-being of our communities.

We don’t think twice about giving back. We do it because that’s who we are. See below for just a few examples of how we take an active role in the community.

Improving the health of our local communities

USAP-Washington CRNA outreach program

Our CRNAs at USAP-Washington are a very talented and compassionate group in and out of the OR. Some of their community involvement activities include:

  • The Alki 5K run, benefitting Northwest Hope and Healing, an organization that provides immediate financial assistance to women undergoing breast and gynecological cancer treatments
  • Participation in the YMCA “Adopt a Family” program
  • Beat the Bridge run, benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, in honor and memory of dear friend and colleague Zoe Vinson, CRNA, MNA, and for all those suffering from diabetes

I feel very strongly about the importance of having philanthropy actively demonstrated as a core value of a team... It defines the heart of the group and connects us to a greater good.

Being a good global citizen

Sharing Smiles

Baby with a cleft lip

In addition to our community involvement in our local communities, we partner with responsible global organizations to contribute our expertise on clinical mission trips.

An example of this can be seen in USAP’s support of Florida Hospital's Sharing Smiles program (formerly SHARES). Sharing Smiles surgical teams are comprised of plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, technicians and other volunteers who travel to select cities in Latin America to provide reconstructive surgery to children suffering from physical and emotional distress caused by facial deformities.
